change the color of the console in a java application

Hi guys
I want to know how to chnage the windows console background and foreground(text color) in a java application I'm working on.

N.B. It's not an applet

Please excuse my ignorance, do you mean the DOS command prompt ??

If its dos prompt then right click on left most corner of that window and go to properties ...from there to colors tab...n pick your color.

it is dos commad, but I want to do that using java code
