what are the various ways to handle the exceptions in java. Can any one give Examples

Well, there are a few ways to handle an exception. You can choose to directly handle an exception via a try-catch block, or you may also choose to ignore exceptions and just indicate that your method throws the exception. Better still, learn about exceptions here at Sun's Java Tutorial:
