Whose picture is on the cover of Head First Java? I was wondering why the choice of a pony-tailed girl? I think it might give the impression that it was sooo cool & easy, but is that what you wanted to communicate?

I'm sure I've seen the exact same picture on a billboard for cellular phones, so it's probably from an image library. I think they picked it because the picture emphasizes her head. 8^)

I am not sure about HFJ, however, for HFDP, there is a discussion in this forum to select the "best" person be the cover.

Well, the new edition's cover is the same as the first edition's cover... I think there was not such selection of cover like HF D&P at that time... Well, for the exact story of the HF Jaava, we might need to wait for the authors to tell us about that...

Marc - I think you're thinking HF Design Patterns

Ernest - Kathy loves you for that comment
