This seems so elementary but I don't get it

I have a bean called Parameters


I have JSP


I am expecting output that looks like


but what I am getting is



This is a basic concept of object oriented programming... but it is not working....


Why is the constructor not working?

Constructors should not be declared with a return type; not even "void". What you thought was the constructor is actually just a plain method. The compiler provided a default no-arg constructor that basically did nothing but call the parent's default no-arg constructor.

I guess you have to experience it as a problem for it to really stick!
