I need to make a setup package for a java program. pack all libs, docs and classes, etc into this package.

When the user double click the package(for example my.exe),it will decompress files into a directory and deploy themselves.

In a word, it just like installing MS office in windows.

Please give a hand! Thanks!

Aside from using some third-party tool like InstallAnywhere or something, you can package your application as an "executable JAR file." Or, you might look into distributing your application via the web with Java WebStart.

Hi Nigel,
I have a look at Jar Tutorial. Does "excutable" means excuting the jar file by using "java -jar jar-file"? If so, that is not what I need.

I want to find something can perform the following:

1,by double click it, it will decompress itself to a specified dir.
2,during decompressing, the user can set something for example(where to install, what components to be installed, etc)
