Well I started one new topic and now it's broken again!! I get the same error when I start a new topic now.
Anyone else??

The EJIP.net folks have some kind of script that inforces certain directory permissions. Unfortunately, those permissions are not in-line with what UBB requires. The EJIP.net folks are aware of the problem and are working on a solution now.

In the beginner forum I use the "next" link and am always ending up on this post and when I select the "next" link from that post I get a message about "nothing following" so something like that.

That post is at the top of the queue. If you click next when you are already at the top of the queue, it will return you to that same post. If you reply to a post, the thread you replied to will be at the top of the queue, so if you click next, the same thing will happen.
