Peter, We decided to raise the price because want to provide quality support to our customers. We have brought another Java Guru on our team who will also provide support to our customers.
Also, a lot of our cutomers said in their feedback that after seeing the quality of our product, service and guarantee, JQPlus is highly underpriced. (And probably still is!)
HTH,
Paul.

I agree that even at $20.00 - it is still under priced and a VERY GOOD value.
However, keeping the price as low as you can gives more people an opportunity to purchase it!!
(In my honest opinion, I would have paid $30.00 for it. Especially since it made a direct impact on my SCJP score)

Paul,
I agree. JQ+ is still an excellent bargain @ $20.00. As I noted before, your competitors (JCertify 4.0) charges 3X more for their products.
Thanks,
-Peter

hi..
do you really need to buy these sorts of mock exams,
when there are plenty of free mocksand lots of resources free
on the net. and we get all our doubts cleared in these forums..
that if we make use of it better, we dont need to buy any.
afterall, you got to understand the funda.. and i dont see
anything in clearing the exam just buying the software and using it
we got to be confident to do any kind of project/exams with the
available resources.

If you are going to spend any money on mock exams, I suggest that you buy JQPlus (which is now $20.00 per license). I would not buy JCertify due to it's high price! If you read alot of the posts about people passing the certification, many of them mention that they used JQPlus as part of their preparation.

Hi,
I too think that JCertify with the ever increasing voucher charges is a trash, as said above we can acheive certification with the material available freely and that list is also growing. When comes to testing thru mocks there are many mocks available freely.

JCertify provides an exam simulator, but is a training
environment as well, with integrated content from
o Professor Richard Baldwin ( Java Programming
Tutorials - $15 value if purchased
separately, *free* with JCertify ).
o Roedy Green's Java Glossary
o Bruce Eckel's Thinking in Java
o Marcus Green's Last Minute Java 2 Tutorial
Here's a recent quote from a customer who passed last
month:
"I have used your product very thoroughly and I owe you many thanks for it! Excellent work! It has helped me a lot in
my Sun Certified Programmer's exam preparation.
I scored 96%. I recommend it for all who are preparing for this exam! "
- Milan Babiak
We have been training Java programmers since
September of 1998 and are the leading fourth
generation exam simulator. It really comes
down to how valuable your time is, and how
productive, effective, and efficient you want
your study time to be.
A Trial version of JCertify is available at:

Hmmm... a little cost/benifit analysis (which is a VERY good skill to learn in the programming business)
JQ+ cost/hourly wage = hours you have to work to buy it
Estimated time savings = rough guess would take me 3 hours to search out 8 good exams with extensive notes (very conservative estimate probably would end up spending a day)
You could add in the time savings in test preparation to the hours above... lets say conservatively 5 hours time savings in preparation.
hours have to work < 8hr savings BUY IT<br /> Hours have to work > 8hr savings DON'T BUY IT
I think I will order it TODAY!
$20.00 isn't much for an 8 hour time savings!

It could save you $150.00, it did for me!!
I would not have passed on the first attempt if it wasn't for JQPlus. And the cool part is that their guarantee will give you your money back if you fail. Can't beat it!
