My father died way sooner than I ever imagined, and I feel so lonely, and I know very well I'll miss him enormously for the rest of my life... but despite the sadness, the only sensible thing I can say when I realize how great it was to have known him is "I'm so lucky !"
I'm sure a lot of people here (and elsewhere) must feel the same, and it comforts me.
