But let me get off trhe soapbox for socialized medicine and get to that that point: you like the HMO system you see today? Is anyone raving about that, the NCPA and Burton Report withstanding? I can't defend the current system either. I believe it is the best system in the world, but that is not saying much. I truly believe that if government gets out of healthcare then people will truly have a choice on where to spend their healthcare dollar. Once people have a choice the HMOs will have to change the way the do business or they will be driven out of business by their competitors.
I also took the PPO option with my insurance. Can't say that I really have any complaints, outside the fact that the insurance company has preferred brandnames of meds that they want the doctor to prescribe over some other brands or similar type of med, but this is probably common.
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
