generally, i think there is no such thing as "#1 brand of beer", it is all about personal taste.

what i usually would like to do is: pick the most expensive one if someone else pays the bill.

I discovered another excellent brand... Blue Point Brewing. Their IPA is very good, if not quite a typical tasting IPA.

Although their beers are located only in the Long Island area, I understand they have some kind of deal with a brewery in Baltimore so you may be able to find them in Maryland as well.

Ernest,
Great pick on the Sierra Nevada!!! I was in Chico just last week and took a tour of the brewery, I was very impressed with the place. The entire place was spotless, it was so clean I would have eaten off the floor. Plus, all the beer was like 50% cheaper at the gift shop then the grocery store right down the street.

Cool!

Hey Dan, did you forget your password and make a new account (hence the "1"?) If you email me your old login name, I will find your password for your old account.

A #1 brand does not exist.

Depends on your mood, location, time of day, .........

Blackened Voodoo beer, Dixie Brewing Co made an impression. Hmm, it's been about 15 years since I tried it last. Wonder if I'd still like it.

Erdinger (German, Bavarian Wheat Beer) used to be my favorite, but I quit drinking alcohol.

Shame. So long as you can still drink Whiskey though...

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
