Hi.

My first post here - after buying Head First Design Patterns, Java, Servlets/JSP and EJB3 (I've actually read three of them too!!! So far...), I could really, REALLY use a Head First guide to Spring/Hibernate. I'd sell my grandma for that book, if you can find a use for a 4ft tall, slightly eccentric, old Irish lady...

Remember, if you go to the Oriely site, you can submit your own application to write a Head First book. So, why wait for a Head First Spring or a Head First Hibernate when you can write one yourself!

Is anyone else interested in this kind of topic?

Definitely - I'll buy that for a dollar! (or indeed several dollars)

In the meantime....

I can recommend the book "Spring Recipes" by Gary Mak (Apress) which gives you a good, systematic introduction to the various things you can do with Spring

I eagerly await your publication of head first spring & hibernate. Apart from everything , this prospective book does hold a lot of opportunities in terms of profit & value addition.

Bert,
Thanks for wonderful books on HF series, it has changed the way we learn and at same time enjoy doing it!
I have ordered HFJS 2nd edition. But are there any plans for 3rd edition that complies with 1Z0-899 OCE Java EE6 Java Server Pages and Servlet Developer?
Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the encouragement - we're auditioning a couple authors right now, but not for Spring

But, HF Spring is on our list if we can find a good author!

Thanks,

Bert

Old post. Bert please save us from the few devilishly confusing and boring books in the market. Please hake HF spring. It will be an instant hit.
If you do, then please consider including a couple of sample projects and problems in it.
