Just because someone is as intelligent as Mr Chomsky doesn't mean they don't have the right to make statements that make them out to be blithering idiots.
Mr Chomsky says, 'So those who prefer to ignore the real world are also saying: "please ignore me."' In essence he is saying to ignore his rants; is this supposed to be a tongue in cheek troll? The "real world" is full of violent people (not just Mr Bush--who I'm not a fan of), people who would choose to blow you up because you voted a way they don't approve of, or because you live in a capitalist society.
Are we sure this is Mr Chomsky's site? I realize he's typically narrow-minded, but these sound like extremely uninformed rants, even for him. Even if you are on the left and hate Mr Bush (as roughly 1/3 of the population does) these statements should come across as overly close-minded.
