Hi friends,

I have small doubt webserver/application server.

If we are change and compile a java file,we need to restart the server to see the changed version of java file.

But it doesn't for jsp file.
For it ,we just refresh browser which get updated file automatically.

why we have restart the server for java files?

what is happending within the server?

please can you clear my doubt?

You may not have to, depending on the server. Many servlet containers offer a "hot-deploy" feature that will load the newer servlets/classes when they are added. Check your server's documentation.

Also, please don't flag your question as urgent (or "immediate"), even if it is for you. Claiming urgency is very likely to be counter-productive: most forum regulars will simply ignore such messages as rude and selfish attempts to elicit immediate and special attention.
