Hey, i just got a new computer, spec:

Amd athalon 3500+
1 gig ram
nvidia 6800 ultra

Now whenever i load up ANY java program the program automatically freezes up. I dont think it is at a complete stand still, just working at about 1/1000 of the speed it should be.

I heard about there may be conflict between nvidia drivers and java or something like that.

If any1 has any solutions id really appreciate your say.

Thanks
Ed

Check Task Manager. When I start WSAD our corporate standard McAffee configuration uses 99% CPU for about 10 minutes. It does it again some times when I just save (compile) a file.

nope, i start say limewire or a program that uses java, and immediately it freezes up. I dont have any anti virus yet, and my cpu stays -10% usage.

Any over ideas would be appreciated.
