Hi,

All my java files are in the jdk\bin directory but still I am not able to compile the Swing classes. The problem is only for swing classes.
I guess this is a classpath problem. Could anyone please let me know which jar file I need to include in classpath for swings?

Look forward to responses

Regards

Swing is includes in the JDK since 1.2 so it should work unless you are using a very old VM.

Besides your source files do not have to be in the /bin directory. You can put them wherever you want. As long as you have your environment correctly configured for the JVM that you are using.
eg. in Windows
set path=c:/jdk/jdk1.4.2/bin

Please don't post the same topic in multiple forums. The time Manuel spent answering your question here or the time I spent answering the other post would have been better spent helping others.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
