package system does not exist

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
I am truly a beginner. I've just started reading Head First Java. I've downloaded Java 5 and now i am trying to write the first program in the book. my code is:

public class myfirstapp {
public static void main (String[] args)
{system.out.print("I Rule!");}
}

when i try to compile the program using "javac.exe myfirstapp.java" i get the following error message:

"package system does not exist"

and it points to the word "system".

What should i do to get past this?

Thank you,

Mac

It's "System" not "system". Capitilization always matters!

And welcome to java!

This cake looks terrible, but it tastes great! Now take a bite out of this tiny ad:
