False, apparently. What he actually said was:
"It is clear our nation is reliant upon big foreign oil. More and more of our imports come from overseas."
Obviously, what he meant to say was, "More and more of our oil comes from overseas." I'll bet everyone who was listening knew exactly what he was talking about. Interestingly, I was recently reading an article that these kind of mistatements are a sign of intelligence. It has to do with multi-threading of thoughts. Smart people tend to juggle a lot of ideas in their mind at once and their mouth can't keep up with their mind and they tend to misspeak.
