hey...can anyone tell me which Api version should i be using for j2sdk 1_3_0...thanks in advance...i abit confused

Don't quite understand your question ... the API is part of the JDK (and a major one at that). If you have the JDK, you have the API.

Are you sure you want to work with 1.3? When you try to download the last version of 1.3 (namely 1.3.1) from Sun, here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/download.html you see this warning:

J2SE 1.3.1 has begun the Sun End of Life (EOL) process. The EOL transition period is from Oct 25, 2004 until the General Availability (GA) of the next Java version, Java SE 6 (code name Mustang). With this notice, customers are strongly encouraged to migrate to the current release, J2SE 5.0.

hi...i was looking at Exceptions and i couldnt see some subclasses on api..but i have since found out what i was doing wrong...navigating through api wrongly...thank you for help and time
