Hi,

This is a really simple question I'm sure, but I have a page using frames. There is a top horizontal frame, left side vertical frame, and main target frame.

My question is, I've placed a search function in the top frame that calls a servlet to search through my database. Now the problem is that I don't want the top frame to display the results. Is it possible to send the results to the target frame through a servlet?

Here is my frame code, if it helps at all.

Thanks,
Jason

Yes, it is possible by setting the TARGET in topFrame.jsp.

Please do not crosspost, you could have continued here :

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
