Something caught my attention in the image below. Notice the relative positions and the postures of the Pope and Bush, and how the chairs are situated. The Pope is in the divine pose, in a kind of a patronizing position. Bush is visibly strained, his neck is unnaturaly twisted. It's as tough the message is "God sees everything, but it's hard to see God". Do you think that the chairs were positioned in such a manner on purpose, by the Vatican strategists?

Why does Bush's chair have a higher back?

The Pope is a frail old man. I think his pose is more because he can no longer sit up straight because of old age than because of wanting to look divine.

The President is sitting up straight for the cameras most of all.

You could as easily interpret it as the President deliberately sitting ramrod straight to appear larger than God if you had malice in mind...

Their chairs are positioned like is to give the best photo opportunity.
I think the REAL conversation takes place in a nicely appointed office behind closed doors (and probably with some cardinal or bishop for almost anyone of lesser importance).

I have it on good authority that the picture is of the Pope turning to Bush and saying, "Pull my finger."
