hockey pool java help  RSS feed

i just need to help getting started, what i have to do is make a project for school and im doing a hockey pool where there it involves people inputting their names and going through a random draft for the players and what their will be is a database full of players to pick from. and then an easy way of being able to update the stats of the players and the standings please im a noob with java and need some help, i need to get good in this class so that i can get to university. im not looking for anyone to do it for me but i just want to know how to start the code

1. Have you started the project?
2. How much Java do you know? What parts?
3. What have you done in Java in the past?
4. Do you have any other programming experience?
5. What is your experience working with databases?

if you have any background in java, you know your going to need a

player class which has all the characteristics of the player as

parameters for a new player...

such as:



and have getter methods..

umm then you'll need to make a Player[] to store these players...

and the be able to search the array for a certain player either by name

or number or something.

after you get this down, you can make the update methods...

like



this should get you started.
