Hotmail sucks

I signed up for a hotmail account yesterday because I knew in July MS was going to up the storage and I wanted to see what all they changed. my Junk Mail folder is already full of Junk Mail. And one of them is a bunch of undeliverables because someone already spoofed my account when sending junk mail.

That is crap! Hotmail sucks really bad in this regard. What did I expect? Well, at least to go 1 day without any junk mail. I have had a gmail account for about 3 weeks and not 1 single piece of junk mail have I recieved.

yahoo doesn't get junk mail either.
Only hotmail does for some reason

I have a Yahoo account. I get lots of mail spams daily. I am considering to abandon my Yahoo account.

I used to have a Hotmail account, but gave up after the huge level of spam - I once got 999 emails from the same company in one day. I'll probably give gmail a go when its ready, but I expect that spam is just a part of emailing these days - unless you've got a very good filter, there's probably not much that can be done about it.

I get some 30 spam mails in my yahoo account daily.

Yahoo gave me an account when they took over egroups where I was subscribed to some mailing lists but I never used it.

Hotmail generates about a hundred pieces of spam a week, not that bad considering I get that many or more a day on my real account (I use hotmail only when someone wants an email address but I don't want them to have one).

I don't get junk mail on my HOTMAIL free account. The rule I have is to never post to newsgroups using this account. For posting I have separate account.

I guess people don't get junk on Yahoo accounts because they don't use them for posting to newsgroups.

Spammers also do dictionary attacks on well known email suppliers, so if your email account is something easy to guess/calculate like joesmith1, you're going to get a lot of spam.
