Have you been through the Java Tutorial at Sun? That's a good place to start. Also the (free) book Thinking In Java is good.

Khilgh Mogal Book
Not a book I am familiar with. I put "Khilgh Mogal" on Amazon and got no results. Please post more details of any books; people might be unfamiliar with them.

I think he meant "Khalid Mughal". But from my experience, Bruce Eckel's "Thinking in Java" (or) Kathy Sierra's "Head First Java" are the best.

I would suggest "Head First Java"
