Hi,

Is there any way to attach a text file or a pdf to a java swing application?

Thanks

What does "attach" mean in that question?

hi,

What i meant was, i should be able to have the document on the application itself and not anywhere on the server or the internet, then i when i need to open the document should be able to do that from the application itslef, for example by clicking a button or selecting it from the menu or soemthing like that. Is it possible?

You can store the DOC / PDF outside your application and you can make the application load them for your user.

Of course, Swing does not have a way of displaying or interpreting either DOC or PDF files, so you'd need to use external libraries. The AccessingFileFormats FAQ page has some links on this.
