Hello, I'm learning Java and I wanted to know if it is possible to place png images on the java programs or applets and if they will show adequately the semi transparent areas of the png graphics. I bought some nice icons from Iconshock - Professional Icons and would like to use the png images they provide rather than the gif ones, because the rich appearance of the png.
