how do you determine a nntp servic eport number?

The well-known protocols that are used on Internet have standard port numbers. For example, FTP is port 21, Telnet is port 23, SMTP is port 25, and NNTP is port 119.

Ofcourse the administrator of a server can configure his server differently, but normally an NNTP server should be listening on port 119.

i think the server administrator normally configure the port number but the default port number for NNTP is 119.
