hi

whenever i download java source code, quite a few of them contains the method called "jbInit" to do some initialization...

i'm just curious to know what is "jbInit" stands for and why people use such name??

Hi -

It's a good convention to have some kind of "init()" method to initialize your user interface (the main frame, and all it's menus, buttons, textedit boxes, etc).

The UI designer that comes with Borland's JBuilder happens to call this method "jbInit()" (as in "JBuilder UI initialization").

There it is ;-)
