is there a change after java 1.5 is delivered that when compile the classes, the class name is no sensitive letter cases?

like i have class called testing.java

and then i compile it with this statem


my compiler is 1.5.04, and it has no problem with the Uppercase within the name...

is it ?

i just wanna get a confirm...

There's no change in Java, but you might have never noticed that the Windows OS is itself not case-sensitive. It's certainly possible to make errors or odd things happen by specifying the wrong letter case on the command line, but it's also possible for things to simply work anyway, depending on what you do.

i see..
i just never noticed that because b4 java1.5, i never made wrong in typing out the compile command.
