The words "irregardless" or "conversate" are abhorrent. I wish people would realise that and stop using them.

And cheese on toasted muffins is not to be condoned. The muffin is bland at it's best there is no improvement by topping it with yellow cholesterol.

Use irrespective and talk, if you wish. But I will conversationalize irregardless.

If you think a muffin is bland, what about a bagel? I cannot imagine how this is a fixture on so many American breakfast tables

Oh while on the subject of blandness, what can you say about suburban architecture? Rows and rows of cookie-cutter-created homes, dotting the American suburbia - they all look the same. Like that opening scene from American Beauty...

Personally, I'm annoyed by people who still haven't learned to distinguish "it's" from "its".

And add to your list the word 'relevancy' as used by Microsoft. For some reason, it makes me discomfortable reading that word.

Btw, I first read about that usage in NYT's Circuits section, where David Pogue took a dig at it.

Real bagels, made the right way, are fantastic, with a soft interior, a chewy crust, and of course lots of fresh onions stuck to the outside.

Faux bagels -- like the ones from Schlotsky's, Einstein Brothers, or god forbid, Lender's supermarket "bagels" -- are crap, pure and simple. A Lender's bagel is to a real bagel as Chicken McNuggets are to coq au vin.

Crap. The only chain I'm aware of that makes great bagels is Noah's Bagels. Otherwise, it's only the mom-and-pop operations that take the time to do things the right way.

D'oh!

When refering to all bagels' blandness , I should opt for its' perhaps ?
Correct Use of Apostrophe

Apostrophe S test

I took the test to see if I needed help and 65% suggests I do.

It's raining it's pouring the old man's snoring.
The cat has lost it's ball.
I really like the colour of the eyes of Caroline.

That's worth another espresso shot.

Don't worry. Things will get so bad for the next generation they are going to love the cookie cutter homes.

Whether this building is worth an espresso shot is still out with the jury. Fondly called the Gherkin, it transforms the London skyline considerably. If you haven't been to London a lot lately you could be forgiven for thinking you are actually in the Middle East.
