Hello everyone,

From the available documents from java.sun.com, I can not find rich information about this option, which is used to tune memory of JVM. Are there any samples/documents of this option, like the meaning/function/best practices of this option. Thanks.

regards,
George

As the documentation says, you use the -Xms option to specify the initial size of the memory allocation pool.

If you know that your application is going to allocate more memory than the default 64 MB, then you might want to set this value higher - that could make allocating memory in your application slightly faster.

Does this answer your question? There's not much more to it.
