Bryan Forbes' 1975 satirical thriller was genuinely scary and pro-feminist attacking the consumer society , conformity and technology. The current version makes no moral or political sense and is more camp comedy than good drama.
Lady Guinevere's cut glass accent just didn't fit and it's a shame they did away with the fantasy elements in the original King Arthur tale. Some people may still like it. KK has an admirable flat tum and good abs.
Any word on 'The Village'?
M Night Shyamalan's set to do well at the box office. I'm not too keen on supernatural thrillers personally but that's where this new director has set his mark.
