Adding a JPanel Component

    JPanel getPanel() {
        return myJPanel
    }

class MyJPanel extends JPanel {
    ...
}
 
class B {
...
JPanel rootPanel = new JPanel();
 
//  rootPanel.add(new MyJPanel())  //<---- Line 1
//  rootPanel.add(new A().getPanel())//<--- Line 2
}
 

Line 1 works but Line 2 does not. (when using one or the other...)
Any suggestions why ?

What makes you say it's not working? There is nothing wrong with either of these lines. Both should work in the proper context -- but neither will work in the context presented, so maybe the problem is in the missing code?
