I have learned a lot of java, but I realized I miss the concept of the 'helper class'. What is the fundamental reason for a helper class. I feel like I'm missing something. Thanks in advance.

Morgan, A helper class is sometimes called a utility class. This is a class that has methods that have meaning on their own and make some other task easier. Suppose, my job is to write a program to read in a file and do some processing. I would write/call a helper class to read in the file. This allows me to focus on the processing logic in the main class.
