Hi,

I have a requirement...I have a table which contains name, B'Day & e-mail id of 10 people. I need to develop a java program which will check fo rthe names of people wih B'Day on a particular day & automatically send a mail to them.

Any body can throw some light on this???

I'm planning to link the java pogram with a scheduler & run the program every morning.

Pls help...

Hey you can try using Quartz which is a scheduler tool. Google for quartz for the tutorials and How to do articles.

JavaMail is another option i can think of. You can have plain Java Threads to achieve this automated scheduling.

Good luck.

Quartz would do the job. However, far easier would be a Timer and TimerTask.

Sorry, no idea about integration with Mambo.

You need to check with its documentation.
