The local NBC affiliate is showing a series of news spots this week about exploding cell phones. Apparently this is a growing problem; the batteries explode.
So my vote would be for the model that explodes least frequently.

I have a Sony Ericsson T230. With long lasting battery power, less time to charge, less heat/radiation levels, it is a good bet. T610 looks pretty neat too with a built in cam...
I've had the "pleasure" to work on games for the T610.. and from that perspective I woudn't call it a fine machine. You might say it's a nice phone though.

It happened the other way around with the cell phones.
None of my Nokia's lasted morethan 10 months.
Where as my Motorola is going great guns for almost 2 years. I felt the batteries that came with Motorola are superior to what ever available with Nokia(I am not sure why).
SE k700i rocks! This has all the features comparable nokia 6600 with almost half the weight and half the form factor (size)! Summary: 65K color, 40MB, mp3 player, FM radio, VGA camera. bluetooth, audio/video recodring. Flash/continous ON light.
If you have more money to burn then you can so for a s700i which sports a 1.3MegaPixel camera (rest all is same as k700i).

What the hell does all of this mean, I have phone that has text messaging and can store numbers. The problem is the phone has become incompatible with the network because it is too old. I had the damn phone for 7 years how the hell can it be too old. They are just trying to sell me tripe I dont need.

Someone who posts on a technical site should no that 7 years is an eternity when it comes to technology. Do you still use your computer from 7 years ago?
I use my computer for many things, but for a phone , I only dial. I don't need no video phone with no a camera, I don't wan't to see the person I'm talking to man and I don't want to use the phone as a kind of pay per view TV.

I still use my computer from 6 years ago for some things. I have some other hardware (scanner) that doesn't work with Win2k, for example, as well as some kids games (preschool) with the same problem.
However, its use is very limited.
The problem is the phone has become incompatible with the network...
My cell phone suffered from the same problem, and it was only two years old.
Technology changes quickly. I guess if you want the service, you have to have the hardware that supports the service as well as vice versa.
What about Siemens mobiles ? is it ture that Sony Ericsson mobiles are not so good (complicated devices to deal with or Nokia is better...) I think the problem is that some people are not familiar with OS in mobile phones like Symbian.. what do you think ??
