In the one-horse town I'm originally from, my parents tell me they've recently got a Dunkin' Donuts franchise. That's big doin's for them parts. Anyway, tonight I was talking to them on the phone, and they tell me the Dunkin' Donuts was robbed. I asked them, without missing a beat, "Did they make off with a lot of dough?"

Thanks, folks, I'll be here all week. Remember to tip your waitress!

When I was in highschool I worked in a convenience store. Across the street from the convenience store was a Dunken Donuts. Inside this Dunken Donuts, in the evenings, was a very well armed private security guard. I'm pretty certain they were never robbed. They got to keep all their dough, the hole bit.

I think I must be the only office worker in the western world who does not have any intake of caffeine at all.

Very rarely, and never at work. I have chocolate at christmas, but apart from that I tend not to eat it.

As I don't have much caffeine, it effects me in quite an amusing way when I do have it. Quite often medicine for colds has caffeine in it, so when I have a cold and take some tablets I get a caffeine-high and end up typing away like crazy at my keyboard and being unable to sit still for more than 30 seconds.

Not drinking coffee does have other disadvantages - I miss out on the coffee breaks that my colleagues have every 30 mins

i've given up coffe at work. i've had one cup in the past 5-6 months, whereas i used to drink 4-5 cups a day.

I'll splurge and have an occasional cola for lunch, but as often as not, i'll get a lemon-lime soda.

Chocolate, however, is my (well, one of MANY) downfall(s)...

But they only lasted a weekend, and i'm now sleeping much better at night, so it's probably been worth it.

Oh yeah... headaches and your a-- dragging on the ground...

That's why I failed at quitting coffee three times. I've cut it back to 2 or 3 cups a day. Good thing I never took up smoking!

Joe: I think I must be the only office worker in the western world who does not have any intake of caffeine at all.

When I was young, my mom told me that drinking coffee/tea would make my complexion become dark like the drink!!! (I come from a family of caffeine addicts)... Being the obedient girl that I was , I faithfully stayed away from it, and as days went by, I even developed an aversion to the taste and smell of it. And so, till now, I have never had coffee, tea, not even coffee cake Sometimes I wonder what I am missing....

She tried the same tactic with my brother, but it didn't work on him!

I've never drunk Tea or Coffee... just never acquired the taste, but rather than this be celebrated as a good health issue my mother tried repeatedly to force me to like coffee, suggesting that if I didnt drink coffee I would become a social outcast and would never be able to get on with people - nobody would come and visit me 'cos I cant offer them a cup!!

My mother is coming to visit next week so I have to go and buy some coffee just to keep her happy - the only coffee I have in the house is now 3 years old (from when my parents last visited!). She is still horrified that I dont drink coffee.....

I had a similar situation when my dad came to visit a while back - I had no coffee in. He was horrified, and after a long drive was also suffering from caffeine withdrawal symptoms, so we had to rush out to buy some coffee.

The reason that I didn't have any coffee was that I'd recently thrown out my only jar of coffee, which I'd had for four years without ever using, and had got fed up of it wasting space in my cupboard.

Isn't coffee nature's perfect food?

"Man shall not live by bread alone..." You need coffee too!

Oops! getting low, better go get a re-fill. I can quit anytime I want. I just don't want to.. that's all!
