I need to transfer one XML file to other FTP server on same network.

Please suggest me best method to do it.

I was thinking about sockets but in that case i need to put one programme on server machine also, right ?

If right then I dont want to do this.

Please suggest some better way.

Thanks and Regards,
Hemant

If the target machine has an FTP server, then FTP would seem to be the best method, wouldn't it?

The Apache Commons Net library contains an FTP client; see the javadocs of the org.apache.commons.net.ftp.FTPClient class for example code.
