Using Eclipse 3.2 and SWT. I export all related files and create a JAR. When clicking on the JAR file, the hour glass appears for a second then disappears. I checked in the windows task manager and javaw.exe appears for a second and then disappears. When executing the jar file in the command prompt window using the following command java fgs.jar I get
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: fgs/jar.
Can anyone push me in the right direction?

Difficult. It sounds as though you are short of a necessary class in your jar file.

See if you can copy your jar to another directory, and unzip it (jars use virtually the same format as .zip files) and see whether all the classes you need are actually inside the jar.

Are there any external jar files which you had to import into Eclipse? I seem to have written about something similar yesterday, here. Please see whether that is of any help to you.
