Last night was the Christmas party. It was awesome. At 5:30 I slipped into bed and into a brief discussion of the "where the hell have you been" type with my wife. At 7:30 (only 2 hours later) yours truly managed to heave his wreck of a body and mind into the office. Now two cups of tea, a bottle of water and a banana later only one sickeningly long hour has passed.
How am I going to last till 6pm without crashing out on my desk? How will I survive the multilingual conference call at 12:30? How can I stop my eyes from going all red and blotchy? How do I separate the dreams from the reality?
Any ideas? Is anyone else having a similar day? Please tell me there are worse cases than mine to make me feel a bit better.
Couple of Alka-Seltzer tables every two hours is one way of fixing a bad head after a good night, but nothing can fix you now but a few hours of sleep! Meanwhile, you can rehydrate yourself drinking plenty of coffee or Lucozade!
for me peppers (of every color) does help. If I did have little sleep before driving long distance to customer or such I eat lots of pepper while driving. Haven't read it anywhere, but works quite good.
You want to hear something worse??!!?!? I'll give you something worse!!! I wish I were hung over!!! Instead I am 7 months pregnant and sitting here at work, and writing an application in Struts that makes no sense!!! And the goddamned Resin is caching my XSLs!!! And there's nothing about this issue on this board! And I want an icecream! And a pickle! And I wanna go hoooooooooooooome!!! (which is over an hour drive from here!!!) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
