Hello i was wondering if i could perform something similar to the Partial template specialization that i do in c++ in Java. Maybe using generics or something else? i was wondering if my searches of generics tutorials will lead to a solution on if Partial template specialization is supported or possible or should i just end my search now? thanks alot

also where do questions like this belong here or is there a IsItInJava thread?

Don't know about templates; this Wikipedia article suggests that Java generics operates differently from templates. You can start off on Java generics in the Java Tutorials. Also do a Google search for "Angelika Langer" because she has a famous "Java Generics FAQ" website.

See whether that helps, and also please explain more precisely what you want to do.

Although its recommended to CarefullyChooseOneForum.
If you are unsure where to post a particular topic, then this(beginners forum) is the best place.
If the moderators feel like they can move it to an appropriate place.

Also there is no "IsItInJava" or anything similar thread.
Here we do have topic wise forums but not very specific threads.
You can search for related topics using the search link above.
