In Object Oriented environment, everything is Object. Object have some state and behaviour. anything that you can think is an object.
e.g. If you are developing Banking application, objects are Account holder, Bank, Account are some objects which are associated in applications

hope it will help you

all that can be abstract or real example: I, You, Dog etc..
one Dog is one object he has: color, ages, size, name.
you are one object too, because you have ages, name etc..

when you are programming in java for example all is one object your class one object because you create one class that represent something real or abstract.

check this link there is one file about O.O is important.

Welcome to JavaRanch.

For some background information on object-oriented programming, see Object-oriented programming in Wikipedia.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
