why do it is fashion now a days generally not to keep mustache & full beard
but french beard is kept.
some people keep it only for the religious reasons.

From what I understand, a pointy style goatee, with thin moustache - not unlike what yours, usually trimmed shorter, is called French beard in India (also refered as bulgan(sp?), I think, err., may be not!)

I distinguish between a goatee and a french beard...
goatee = hair only on the chin (not on the lower jaw)
french beard = moustache + chin (including lower jaw )



BTW I have this beard i.e. french beard - moustache. I dont know if this in in vogue, but i like it so i am keeping it

Then Thomas has a french beard by your definition.

I had some french toast for brunch the other day. So I guess a french beard is for special occasions. On other weeks you'd have the goatee or full soup strainer.
