Hi --

I'm a beginner/intermediate Java person. (I like Swing.)

I am wondering how JavaFX is coming along, and how you feel about adopting those technologies.

I edit an online journal, am learning Rails on Ruby.. if that indicates anything..

Thanks

We've had a few discussions about it in the Object-Oriented Scripting forum, so I'll move this topic over there.

Here is my quick look at JavaFX. I am glad to see Sun moving in this direction but other approaches such as Flash and Flex are more mature. Note that Microsoft is now pushing "Silverlight" in the same space so there is lots of competition for rich user interfaces.

Silverlight.

Hm. Is that the difference from a cd to a dvd to a blu-ray?

Ballmer! This is crummy!
