Hi,
I have an amount field which is of double type .I want to convert it into indian currency format with the grouping of 2.
For eg if my value is 201210 i get the value as 201,210 instead of 2,01,210.I have tried using using NumberFormat as well as DecimalFormat but still i get the same answer.

Can anyone give a solution for this??

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Have you got the sample code that you wrote to try and generate this output? We can hopefully help you from there .

Have you done a search in this forum??

If you have done that, you would have got this thread among the results: Regional settings - which almost has the same 'problem' as yours.

[EDIT]
The format "2,01,210" is not a legal one - the right format IS this one "201,210"

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
