Usually I work on Swing UI and simple servlets. So please bear with me!

I have an application in Swing. for i18n I have used resource bundles. I also have a helper class which I use for the language and text related stuff. So far so good. Works smooth as silk.

Yesterday, I was told, that our management, in their infinite wisdom, have decided it would make sense to have a web based UI after all! I have just come out of a meeting where I tried (unsuccessfully) to convince them to go for JWS approach and make life easier for my team.

Looks like we might be able to pull it off, on the face of tight deadlines if not for the i18n stuff. I can use the backing bean approach for the text and language stuff. I am completely at a loss how to approach the orientation problem. Anybody got any ideas how it's done?

Look at chapter 8 in the JSTL specification.
There are tags designed to handle this.
