I thought ? & where the only symbol's for querystrings in webpages.

With the % character used to specify a special character like a space %20

But know I am using jsession and I see stuff like

I want to know what
What is the ; used for?
I cann't find out any info on how to read url's. I can read most of them.
Basically using the fact ? & are for query string's and % for special character's.

Here's anything you need to know about URL's: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986#section-1.1.1

It's just chosen as a reversed character to separate it from the request parameters.

"Reversed"... you mean "reserved", right? You have a couple of characters reversed there.
