Well, lazy me . Didnt plan anything for the Easter break so far. Now cant think of booking a flight as flight for 3 of us over Easter break wud be more than I want to spend to kill/enjoy those 4 days.

So need help to plan something now!! These days am at London. Need to be within UK due to my current visa restrictions. Within UK, looking for options where I can either drive or can take regular train service. A place within 3~5 hrs drive from east London wud be a very good option.

Any suggestions (please)?

It depends on what your preferences for an amusing day out are, but catching the train from Waterloo out to Hampton Court station and wander around the House and the garden. Want to go back in time a bit further, what about down the motorway east to Cirencester or Bath to see what the Romans did for us.

Or perhaps stay in London and go to one of the street markets, Portobello Road or Campden Lock, antiques or Junk, you decide.

Why not post here and tell us what you eventually do.

I've been to Ashford (Kent) once. It's a nice town. Not sure if there's anything interesting to do but if you just want to look around and enjoy the scenery you could choose worse. There's a direct rail link from London.
Birmingham is also nice, but maybe a bit far.

Preferences are not to be in any tourist place, not to be in crowded place...if possible seeing historical places and drive through scenery...

Cirencester/Bath looks like good options....I anyway go roaming around london street markets over the regular weekends so this weekend looking for something else
