Hi All,

I want to work on JMS from home coz I do not have access to the work resources when I leave the office. Can someone tell me how I can work from home? We need to connect to some server and create a queue, send messages to it and receive messages from it right? Can we do that from home? Maybe install some server on our local machine?

Please reply.

Thanks

Please use real words when posting to the forums. Abbreviations such as "coz" in place of "because" only serve to make your posts more difficult to read and less likely to generate useful responses.

Sounds like your office needs to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Sorry about that. I will remember not to make the same mistake in future. I can not get VPN access as of now.

Thanks.

You could install an open source JMS implementation like OpenJMS or ActiveMQ at home.

I will try that. Thanks Ulf.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
