Hello ranchers,

I have the "Head First EJB Book" and I want to follow it in order to learn on EJB 2. But to follow the instructions I need the J2EE RI and maybe Java 1.4 or 1.3 (Which are quite old).

Where can I find that ? I didn't fount J2EE RI downloads on Sun's site...
What's the best replacement ?

Which EJB container do you suggest to follow the book ?

Thanks in Advance for your help

EDIT: OK, I found that https://coderanch.com/t/163093/java-EJB-SCBCD/certification/Head-First-Setup-Document-Windows. Can someone guaranty that it is not outdated?

I'd guess that if the instructions worked then, they'll work now if you can find those old J2EE implementations. The current JEE 5 RI is called "GlassFish", and you can find it on dev.java.net. I'd be hesitant to learn EJB 2 now, though, because that's quite outdated itself - EJB 3 is very different.
