I was hoping that someone could help me with this problem, Im sure it is something simple but I cannot fix it.
Basically I have a small Swing based programme which on Maximizing only maximizes the JFrame, not what I have inside of the JFrame.
The construction of my application is a JFrame, with a JPanel inside, and inside the JPanel a JScrollPane and a JTextArea inside the JScrollPane.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this problem. I am using the Jigloo plugin for Eclipse and JDK 1.4 (this Is to integrate it with an application which is built using 1.4).

you would need to post your code so we can see what layoutManager/s you are using.

if you are using a null layout, you are responsible for the whole bleedin' lot

+1.

Jigloo! GUI Builder. Hmmm. Figures.
Just set the layout of your panel to BorderLayout to fix this problem.
Also if possible, try to avoid any GUI builders

And yes! Welcome to the Ranch! We are happy to have you here
